The Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library, located at 901 G St. NW, will have a major renovation and modernization to meet the current and future needs of D.C. residents.

Your input is critical to an improved library. Here's what we know about the library:

  • What should the services look like?
  • Where in the building should they be located?
  • What other services should be offered?

This idea community will help us answer these questions. You can provide feedback on all of the areas right now or over time.

Sign up to share your thoughts and comment on questions.

If you have any questions, email mlkfuture@dc.gov .

The Library is in the process of selecting an architecture team to design the renovation. The library has narrowed the search to three finalists. Feedback you provide will be shared with the three architecture teams as they prepare their design concepts. These concepts will be presented at a public meeting on Saturday, Feb. 15 at 10 a.m. in the Great Hall of MLK Library.
