Call for Volunteers: DC Board of Elections Seeks ADA Compliance Assistants for Upcoming General Election

Tuesday, November 3, 2020

Contact: tjennings@dcboe.org

Sponsored by: District of Columbia Board of Elections

https://www.dcboe.org/

The D.C. Board of Elections (BOE) is committed to ensuring that all District residents have equal access to the voting process. Accordingly, we are inviting you to join us as an accessibility volunteer during the upcoming elections. Our accessibility volunteers (Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Compliance Assistants/Voter Access Assistants) work with the ADA Coordinator to make all precincts operationally accessible on Election Day. Each volunteer is assigned four to five polling sites, to monitor and address any correctable issues that present barriers to voting for senior citizens and people with disabilities. You must be available to attend a mandatory training (date/time TBA) and have access to reliable transportation.

Volunteers are paid a stipend.

Please complete the application (link below) and return it to tjennings@dcboe.org, along with your resume (if you have one). Visit www.dcboe.org for more information or follow us @Vote4DC on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Thank you in advance and feel free to share this information.

  • You DO NOT have to be a DC resident to apply.
  • We welcome ALL interested volunteers.
  • You must have access to reliable transportation.
  • Bilingual volunteers are highly encouraged to apply.
