HIP Kids in association with Mind Expansion Community Services will be taking a trip to the Smithsonian National Zoo in Washington DC on Friday, August the 23rd. There are 21 first come, first serve slots.

We will be participating in a 75-minute long educational program walk that has a Safari-like setting and will be hosted by zoo staff.

Entry to the zoo is free, but there is a $25 parking fee. As an alternative, you can ride the Red Line of the Metro to the Woodley Park Station and walk a few blocks to the entrance. This is not the preferred trip for people who cannot walk long distances.

We suggest you bring your lunch and/or eat before you arrive. There is food at the zoo, but it is often expensive and has limited choices.

The program cost will be covered via our group. Participants should mainly focus on costs separate from the tour.

Note: The tour start time and meeting location are still being decided.
