Call for Applications: BroadFutures' Fall 2020 Virtual Strengths Program (Updated)

BroadFutures' Strengths Program is an intensive, interactive five-week program for young people with learning and attention issues that focuses on college and career readiness. The program offers an innovative delivery of a virtual curriculum for alternative learners:

  • Integration of the arts/drama
  • Use of virtual breakout rooms
  • Incorporation of mindfulness/yoga
  • Direct instruction limited to 10-15 minute periods
  • Collaborative projects and presentations

Participants will:

  • Develop professional communication and self-advocacy skills.
  • Master effective strategies for managing their time and building their executive functioning skills.
  • Understand their learning style, strengths, and areas of support; learn how to ask for accommodations at school and in the workplace.
  • Build and refine their resume; enhance and elevate their LinkedIn profile.
  • Learn the art of writing a strong cover letter.
  • Understand and practice how to ace the interview.
  • Learn financial literacy tips and tricks.

Participants may also work on an independent project or portfolio with the support of the BroadFutures team.

Access to a computer and reliable internet connection will be necessary.

$3,250

Scholarships are available based on need.
