The Georgetown University Certificate in Early Intervention prepares early intervention providers to use evidence-based early intervention strategies and supports. The GU Certificate in Early Intervention (GUCEI) will teach you the critical skills needed to:

  • Provide contemporary evidence-based services and support;
  • Work collaboratively with families to design responsive, functional outcomes and program plans;
  • Support team members to serve children and families in an integrated and comprehensive system of care.

The GUCEI focuses on the needs of the early interventionist. Graduates of the GUCEI are competent and confident to:

  • Create an eco-map
  • Administer a routines-based interview
  • Write participation based outcomes
  • Implement coaching
  • And so much more!

The hybrid format allows students throughout the country as well as international students to participate. Course work is offered primarily online with five on-campus days scheduled throughout the program year. Applications for the September 2019 cohort are now available!
