The Flexibility and Friendship Group targets social skills and flexibility in young children with ASD through a play-based and story-based curriculum. Children learn how to play games and pretend together, as well as how to change their play plans when needed. Children also learn coping skills, sharing and taking turns, and early conversation skills. Parents participate in their own group that provides coaching in how to support kids in using their new skills at home, as well as parenting strategies and other topics of interest to parents of young children with ASD, such as picky eating, planning play dates, and school supports.

Who this group is best for: Children with ASD who can answer direct questions about things that happened to them at another time
