INTELLIGENT LIVES stars three pioneering young adults with intellectual disabilities – Micah, Naieer and Naomie – who challenge perceptions of intelligence as they navigate high school, college and the workforce. The film points to a future in which people of all abilities can fully participate in higher education, meaningful employment and intimate relationships.

Main Street is proud to present this film to the community, as we bring awareness to meet the urgent need for disability housing and programming with affordable, community-centered spaces and opportunities that promote inclusion, independence and quality of life in the Washington metropolitan area.

A panel discussion will follow with:

  • INTELLIGENT LIVES filmmaker Dan Habib
  • Micah Fialka-Feldman – One of the self-advocates featured in INTELLIGENT LIVES
  • Jill Ortman-Fouse – Former Montgomery County Board of Education At-Large member
  • Sara Portman Milner, LCSW-C – Co-founder and Director of Student Services at Sunflower Bakery and Café Sunflower

Place: The Bullis School - 10601 Falls Rd., Potomac, MD
